Opportunity is partial to preparation. Just a few residents made the effort to charter the city of Tulsa. It was a simple stop to serve the cattle business on the Atlanta-Pacific railway until the discovery of oil. Tulsa then became the oil capital of the world in barely three decades. The flow of dollars funded dozens of art deco buildings that still define the city. Friends of the artist live here.
