After experimenting with a variety of paintings, styles, and subjects, I discovered that I loved painting maps. I embed bits and parts, or even whole maps, into the works. These stylized map paintings are layered and highly textured, blending many of my interests—history, travel, geometry, stories, and the natural beauty of landscapes. Each map holds a unique story. I enjoy ‘visiting’ cities through my art, experiencing their sights, histories, colors, and people vicariously.
